Here are 4 Ways to
Prevent Sun Damage
The sun and heat can be pretty damaging. Not only to humans and wildlife, but also to our vehicles. Everyday we commute to and from our homes. Whether we are going to work, school or simply running some errands, our vehicles are constantly exposed to the sun.
Here are a few easy tips to help save your vehicle from damages and some money in your pocket!
Tip #1: Use a windshield shade or sun panel.
Windshield shades are easy to find and affordable! They are great for protecting your vehicle's dashboard and interior from the sun. They also come in a variety of colors and patterns and can add a cool personal touch to your vehicle.
Tip #2: Use a conditioner and/or protective spray.
Just like our bodies need moisture to help keep our skin healthy with a glow, our vehicle's interior needs the same. We use sunblock and well, vehicles use conditioners. They will help keep your vehicle's interior nice and smooth and moisturized. You can find a conditioner or UV protective spray for about $5 - $7 at any automotive or general merchandise market.
Tip #3: Park in the shade whenever possible.
When out and about or at home, it's always best to park in shaded areas, especially if you plan to leave your vehicle parked for a long period of time. If there is not a garage or carport available, a tree can always come in handy. If you are worried about bird droppings, avoid large trees and fruit bearing trees as well. If none of the above are available, you can always count on a car cover for protection. Even though some might be pricey, you can expect full shade and protection for your vehicle.
Tip #4: Wash and wax your vehicle often.
A clean car is a happy car, right? Washing your vehicle often will definitely help protect your vehicle's paint and overall exterior from the sun and other debris and dust. Even though it is time consuming, hand washing and hand drying is always best. Waxing is also a great add on for protection. Not only will your car shine bright but it will feel smooth and free from dust particles and debris.
Your vehicle is something you worked hard for. It should be cherished and taken care of, always. Following these 4 simple steps can allow your vehicle to stay in tip top shape, and allow you to drive fearlessly in the sun for many years to come!
